We have had a busy 2014, here are some highlights of the year so far here at ALB:

McAlpine Hussmann New Zealand – February 2014:

Mark our Key Account Manager had previously been with McAlpine Hussmann for a few months shy of 20 years. Over this time he wore many hats, though had never been to their specialty case manufacturing plant in New Zealand. As we are QLD distributors and warranty agents for McAlpine Hussmann, Adam our Managing Director and Mark took the trip across the pacific to check out where some of the cases we sell and install are built.

ARBS Melbourne – May 2014:

This biennial convention is where Adam and Mark caught up with the movers and shakers in the HVAC&R industry. They were educated in new technologies from leading industry manufacturers and suppliers to bring back to our technicians and importantly out customers.

Carbon Tax repeal – July 2014

This was music to many ears! After the carbon tax was initially introduced back in 2012, the price of refrigerants became too much for many smaller independent retailers. With the repeal of the carbon tax, we are now anticipating many goods including refrigerants to become more affordable.

As excited as we are about our customers saving money, ALB still remains dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint. Call and talk to us about reducing yours.

Metcash Food & Grocery Expo & IGA National Conference, Gold Cost Convention Centre – July 2014

This is the biggest retail event in the southern hemisphere and is the forth year ALB has been involved with McAlpine Hussmann for the Expo. Our talented technicians worked tirelessly to set up the equivalent of a fully refrigerated supermarket in a 3 day timeframe. Over the course of the convention, Mark and Adam caught up with major suppliers and manufacturers and schmoozed with IGA owners to discuss upcoming projects. Then as quickly as it was built the expo was packed away again for another year.
